I was reading the IPD press release on the new ECU upgrades, and they stated the following:
"2000 S70 2.4T light pressure turbo automatic trans
Stock: 197 HP, 210 lbs. / ft. torque
Upgraded 230 HP, 275 lbs. / ft. torque
2000 S70 AWD 2.4T light pressure auto trans
Stock: 197 HP, 210 lbs. / ft. torque
Upgraded 230 HP, 275 lbs. / ft. torque"
Although this is very exciting, I thought I had 190 HP in my light pressure turbo. Did they increase it to 197 for 2000? Or is this an error ?

I thought it was the new body styles that had the slight bump in power.
'99 and '00 were still the nice boxy design. I also thought that the only change was a 5spd auto was available on some models. Then later in '00 SE models rolled out with different wheels...I really like the looks of the '00 XC with its 16" SE rims.

It is an error. All 2.4L LPT engines, up to and including MY2000 were rated at 190 HP.
Yannis
