got this Valero gas station recently built down the street from where I live, 2 cents cheaper believe it or not compare to Arco, and I thought Arco is the real piss water here.... anyways;. performance is the same compare to Mobil or 76 or Chevron 91's ...

what's the difference besides it's 10 cents cheaper compare to everyone else?

When I was in San Jose for a few years I used both brands like a second religion. The cheaper Valero as I recall was only because you can only use cash or ATM card...no credit. They have a lower cost of operating and therefore make more biz from volume and can pass the savings on to the consumer. Now I had my 850 and V70 moded pretty well and never had a problem except in the hotest of days...then I went to the 76 by Smythe Volvo and got 100 octane for the week. So don't let the brand name fool you. Sure the additives are a little different but after more than 80k miles on 2 different T5s with out issue...it is a safe bet you'll be fine too.
