Hi folks, wanna buy second hand OEM wheel set with tyres. How can I check that TPMS sensors are really there? Also if they work?
Can they be fitted to non OEM rims also?

The new ones don't use TPMS. I know my18 does not in fact have them.

Your MY18 has iTPMS (but not dTPMS). See pages 535-540 of the Owner's manual.

you will see actual tire pressure numbers for each tire on sensus if you have dTPMS. Otherwise, you can only see four little green dots.

If I buy a used set from the same model year - should I expect that car would recognize the second set of sensors in that non-originally mounted set?

If you get additional wheels with the sensors you will need to have the new sensors recognised by the system. You could probably do it yourself with a VIDA subscription.

I took my new wheels and tires mounted on the car and the dealership did the rest. The car now recognises each set.
