Upon reading threads searching for replacement headlight wipers I decided to skip the headache and cost and instead rely on some recession-spurned engineering. Below is a step by step (with pictures ) how to guide whereby you will learn how to "recycle" a windshield wiper blade to make 2 new headlight wiper blades.
**The instructions below do not pertain to the frameless wipers on some R models after '04. Instead using a standard blade (below $7 at any car part store) will accomplish the same thing**
Needed:
1-Pair of pliers
1-Pair of needle nose pliers
1-Pair of tin snips or heavy duty wire cutters
6-beers (optional)
So I started off by replacing my windshield wipers. The wipers cleared the rain well enough but started making that chattering noise that gives me the shudders. Changing the windshield wipers is easy enough to do, if it was challenging for you then please call your local dealer and order replacement headlight wipers. By all means suck up the cost and call it a day. For those with a little shade-tree mechanical skill crack open a beer, break out the tools, and keep reading.
My headlight with wiper:

Articulate the wiper arm like so:

Pull the wiper away from the arm:

 Looks like the stock blades:

Separate the blade from the arm:

Note the single metal band/rib running through the blade.

Arm sans blade. Re: How To Replace Your Headlight Wiper Blades For Free (sh8kdwn)

Good idea, I was thinking about going to Walmart and picking up a set of generic wipers so I can use them for the headlights. Does the wiper just snap off the arm?

I believe Walmart may have a windshield wiper for around $5 that should work for this application.
The blade pops off the arm surprisingly easy.

Great idea. I wonder if we can fit a set of double wipers on the headlights.

I mentioned this idea some time ago and the only problem I ran into is that they break after 1-2 months and have to be redone.
I redo mine everytime my parents change their wipers.

I wasn't a fan of the look.
Perhaps a wiper delete and fill will be in order but only after I retrofit an intercooler sprayer using the headlight wiper hoses (I know it's been done).
