That engine is insane. I didn't know you could get that much HP from a Volvo 5-cyl

...that reminds me, wasn't there someone w/ a blown motor that was going to be using a stock "R" head and a 2.3L bottom end? What ever happened w/ that? I'd say 'no news is good news' - but I think we'd hear about it if it were good news <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/frown.gif" BORDER="0">

I was the Project Manager on a new addition on the Pro Charger headquarters a few years ago. I got to watch them do that exact same test to numerous engines, very cool. I loved watching them get the newest cars in there and fit Pro Chargers into them. They would build each of them out of Styrofoam first, then take the Styrofoam mold to the fabricator to make the supercharger. It was a pretty modest company, for the most part, but very, very cool and nice guys. Watching them blow 350 after 350 in their "lab" was pretty bad ass.

I had one of Procharger's first supercharger models for a 5.0 Mustang. That charger could put out some sick boost. I used to run 14lbs at the intake manifold, 17 @ the charger. I loved the gear whine of the strait cut gears. It made a presence that said "I will stomp your Chevy guts out"<br>That was without any question the fastest car I've ever owned or driven. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://********************/smile/emthup.gif" BORDER="0">

They zoom in on it in the shot between the two runs.<p>Love the smoke rising off the IC on the second. WOW. Wonder why they didn't point a blower at it.<p>Tom.
