I have a 2022 xc90 plug in hybrid. Car won’t start and is stuck in park. Any idea how to get it in neutral
I think you have to jump start it (under the hood) before you’ll be able to shift it to neutral. You also could try charging it with a trickle charger and see if you have any luck.

Does the car have any power at all? Or just won't start?

If it has power, hold the ignition to mode 2 and you can get to Neutral from there.

If the battery is just dead, I'd follow @Ultrarunner511's advice.

This has always been something I'm curious about on the newer cars. It seems to always assume you have some power available. With it being shift-by-wire now, there's no mechanical override anymore... so if the car is truly dead and either won't take power or get into ignition modes at all, it's basically going to be stuck in Park.

Would love to hear if anyone has any other insight on this.

If its dead and you need neutral. You have to remove airbox. Remove module where shift linkage would be atop trans. And then you can use a pair of needle nose pliers to twist into neutral. If you get right size pliers when you twist the knob into neutral itll lodge itself in place. If you have wrong size you have to hold pliers in neutral while you push.

unfortunately, there was no way to get it into neutral. I spoke to Volvo directly and they had said the car had no override feature. They recommended the tow truck driver to either drag it or put it on dollies. Terrible design!
I JUST HAVE THE SOME ISSUE....BLOCKING TRAFFIC AND I COULD NOT ****ED INTO NEUTRAL...I THINK THAT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE !!
