I just had an accident today as I was on highway 81 when a Saturn suddenly stopped on the fast lane. I had hit him at around 30 - 40 km (not sure but less than 50 km), my bumper was lose but later attached back with no trouble, cracked grill, my license plate protector was cracked and the license mount was bent. At least that's all the body shop could see. Does anybody know if there will be any mechanical problems that I might have? Any specific things I should tell the mechanic to check?

Any suggestions great!

It doesn't sound too bad, of course it all depends on how fast you were going when you hit the car in front of you. The bumpers actually have shock absorbers built into them, so anything that is broken on the outside shouldn't be too much of a problem on the inside, as long as it was a low speed kind of thing. Take it to someone who you trust, and it might be good idea to get a second opinion or two.
