I was somehat surprised that the Canadian pricing matches the US (when considering the exchange rate) on similarly equipped cars. As a bonus the Cdn. models have the 4C. The catch is that I think most XCs must sell below the MSRP? How much below?

Yeah, invoice pricing is public info generally even, so that's what most people negotiate off of. It's not really what the dealer paid for the car, the way we call it invoice pricing, where you work UP from, if you know what it is (which you can get thru some associations here like the APA)...

It would be the MSRP minus the cash back it looks like the Volvo is giving ($4k). Here in Canada it looks like about $5k of factory incentives off the MSRP plu 0% finance for 5 years. I think I can shave another couple grand off.
That puts the XC70 in the "almost reasonable" price range. Man these things are expensive.

Don't forget, if you are a current Volvo owner you also get the 'loyaty' bonus. Usually 2-3K (depends on model).
After all that you are into the 30s. Not too bad. Besides money grows on trees in Alberta right? (I grew up there, so I know it's true).

The MSRP for a well equipped XC70 T6 (with convenience and premium to get the 4C) is about $60K here in Canada. Thanks God we get all these incentives... Still brings the car well over $45K...
Car cost Canada puts a Xc70 T6 with the conv. and premium package, 18" wheels and Dynaudio to $56k. This can be put over 5 years at 0%.
