Well, next Monday my R gets its 4th windshield. Original; OEM replacement under warranty for faulty installation of original; Elite Auto Glass replacement due to big rock on I-80; Elite Auto Glass replacement for another rock on I-80. Is it just me? Vote to let me know!

Wow, they sure produced lots of R's with no windshields, LOL
Poorly worded - you know what I mean.
Hey I just remembered - I didn't put that choice in there!

What if I've had no replacements AND live in NE? I feel like I can't be fully forthcoming unless I inform you of both.

Only 2 on the R so far I think, but I had 4 or 5 on the T5 over a mere 3 years.

On my forth windshield and it has 3 chips currently and two of them are fixed. I think I am about to buy a new one as I can not see investing more then the glass in repairs. I think I will try PPG glass next time. I have had 2 OEMs and 2 Safelight versions.

Seems like my replacement glass is better than the OEM Glass (and for almost a 1/3 of the price)

Isn't that the way it goes with Volvo OEM stuff, though? I'd LOL, if I wasn't COL.

the R is on his 2nd since 2 weeks 86k ... my dad's YM01 with +180k(km) on his original ... it all depands at the end if you got lucky or not, maybe if your windscreen wasn't cracked, than maybe you already replaced a cracked fog ones or more if unlucky. This is just a a vote-topic if you've been lucky or not sofar

So you live in both NE and MA - oh you meant New England not Nebraska. Add that to the poll; lucky I guess.

Re: (Hi Alt R)

Wow I would've never expected to see this topic or poll...

I'm on first windshield that I know of. I am the second owner and I have a chip in mine, but I used the autozone resin stuff to seal it. 24+ months strong with it, no changes.

It's kind of like a permanent zit on the forehead of my Volvo. It's not something anyone would want, but in the big scheme of things it's just a superficial imperfection, like having red hair.

Re: (VolvoLT)

On my third in three years. The first two were OEM and both lasted about nine months each - lots of chips and then a giant crack in each. Went with PPG this time (about half the price as well) and have had ZERO problems.
