I’m thinking about swapping a manual seat base onto a powered 850R seat….is it a matter of a few bolts, unplugging something, maybe some hog clips…or more than that?

Is this your passenger seat? I have a powered 850R passenger seat but nowhere to plug it in so it is just fixed in place for now. Need to figure out how to get the wiring over to that side. What are you going to do with the powered back adjustment?

Yeah, passenger seat. The back adjustment would have to just stay put, which is part of the dilemma. It might be a better idea for me to figure out the wiring, and add that instead of bastardizing two seats.

Just a head’s up….Robert (DIY) Spinner made me a plug and play harness that uses the heated seat switch/connector to power the seat. They’re on his website. Very nice solution, only drawback is if you want to use your passenger heated seat, you need to unplug the harness from the seat switch. I never need to, so it’s fine.
