When ordering with OSD how long after the order is placed is the car ready? My Wife and I are wanting to order a 2010 V50 but don't want to actually get it till December 09. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

10-12 weeks for the built-to-order,
2-4 weeks for one from the OSD inventory.

A custom ordered Overseas Delivery car can be ready in 8 to 12 weeks from receipt of the order depending upon the model and time of year.
A pre-built Overseas Delivery car can be picked up in about 4 weeks from receipt of the order. Even though the car may already be assembled and ready, the time is needed to get temporary Swedish registration, license plates and insurance.
You can place a Volvo Overseas Delivery Program order as far out as six months from the pickup date. So for example a pickup date of December 29, 2009 could be placed today June 29, 2009.

You can request a delivery date. Most of the time, you can get the requested date....unless it is a Swedeish National holiday, or they have more than 22 other OSD'ers picking up that day.
