<br>Last year I purchased a yellow 850 T5-R. The owner had painted the pilars (ie. the window trim at the doors ) black. I am trying to remove this black paint and restrore the original yellow paint which underneath it.<p>Question is: how do i remove the black paint!!! <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/zeroforum_graphics/screwy.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vortexmediagroup.com/images/banghead.gif" BORDER="0">

See if you can find Jasco paint stripper. That stuff works great. Its chemical so becareful. ( knowing they all are) but none the less, the stuff is old school stripper and took 56 years of paint off my '47 Stinson Voyager. It may take the undercoat of that pretty yellow off the pillars though. Carefull!

You cannot remove it and have the perfect Yello paint underneath, impossible.<br>You can strip it but if you strip it or not or just sand and prep it well, you STILL will have to repaint it and you WILL have a tape line <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/frown.gif" BORDER="0">

with ultra thin sand stripe and WATER!!!<br>we in Bulgaria have it as sand stripe N2000, waterproof<br>it looks like dolphin skin when its wet and gently removes the paint

Oh, we know all that<br>But, if he wqants it to be PERFECT it won't happen. There still will be that faint line no matter how much you sand or not
