Hi

I have been going to some of the local Volvo dealers here in south Florida enquiring about a Volvo v90 t6 r-design, but I am being told that they cannot get it for me.

I just wondered how other owners of that model managed to get one and what the process was?

I recently hired it while in the UK and I really liked it (apart from the touch screen controls). It ticks all the family boxes , has the performance and I love wagons.

Your dealer should be able to get an allocation from Volvo. That's what I do for my customers when they want something we don't normally carry. I reach out to Volvo rep, tell em what I need, and generally have been pretty successful in capturing an order. It's possible they aren't making any more for the year... or its a long delay. I had to get an order for an S90.. and it's not coming until April... placed the order a month ago. Volvo reached out and told me if I see it pushed back further to let them know... some models they just aren't making many of. If a new salesman is who you got, they might not plan to be there by the time the order comes in, so just as easy to say no and move on to the next "ready now" customer.

We got ours by doing an Overseas Delivery in 2018. With some adjustments due to COVID, I think one can still order a V90 that way. We love our V90 T6 Inscription, they are very rare in the US.
The one part of that process that has changed since 2018 (other than COVID... which changed all the rest of it) is that we used to be able to pretty well place an order for anything, no problem. Now dealers do have to select from their own existing allocation for OSD... Now the same process applies as I said above. I sell more wagons OSD than I do here I think.... so I just reach out to Volvo and let them know I need allocation for a V90 and then I use that allocation for OSD... but I still need to get it from Volvo before I can order.
