Can anybody give me some advice on how to change the bulbs in the front headlights. Its so tight under the hood that I cant get to them. I read on another volvo forum that you have to take the bumber cover off. Is this true? Is this true?</TD></TR></TABLE><p>Dumbest thing I've heard.. you do not remove the bumper cover..yes it's tight but lift up the hood and look behind the head lights.. there should be a round plastic cover which you turn counter-clock wise to remove. Once you have it off.. voila.. there's a clip holding the bulb in place.. i think you can figure it out from here.. if you got big hands.. it'll be tough, have someone with smal hands help you. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/mad.gif" BORDER="0">

Yea, that was my problem, I couldnt get to the bulb holders cause its so tight. I guess Ill have to find somebody with really small hands.<br>Thanks,

To make matters worst you need to pay to have the daylight driving lights turned off... <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/zeroforum_graphics/screwy.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/zeroforum_graphics/screwy.gif" BORDER="0"> <p>but I think it's worth it, since you will save money on replacing lights bulbs in the future... I'm getting mines turned off soon.

Other half mix.<p>And as far as changing the headlight, it can be done. I've got med/large hands (surgical glove size 7.5 if that helps) and I was able to do it. If I recall I replaced the DRL with a sylvania silverstar 9006XS bulb.

I've had them almost as long in my V70R and they're still going as the DRLs which are always on.
