needed my horn to work on the Classic to pass inspection.Went into the steering wheel and cleaned the connections that are on spring loaded bars attached by hex bolts all behind my airbag. The connections looked quite clean actually.Once reassembled the first couple of hits the horn sounded new, after that tho its kind of weak but it did pass inspect.I called parts dept at a dealer and he seemed to be clueless as to the part name and if I could buy these parts.I called them horn connection bars .Anyone out there know about these parts and availability? At a boneyard I would have to find a 90-93 240 with airbag to match.but I'd like new ones. PS I also cleaned the connection at the horn itself behind the grille with electrical cleaner, didn't seem to help.

The horns will eventually rust out, draw more current, and then quit. I have one still working on my '88 244, but it just sort of groans and is probably close to the quit stage.
