When I went to Motor Trend's site today and browsed around, I came across this in the new Jag XJ article they posted. <BR>"An assortment of new engines is promised, starting with a 3.3-liter/250-horsepower V-6 to be shared with Ford family members Lincoln and Volvo."<BR>Wheres the V-6 going?<BR>Heres the link: <A HREF="http://www.motortrend.com/may01/jagxj/jagxj_f.html" TARGET=_blank>http://www.motortrend.com/may01/jagxj/jagxj_f.html</A>

Plus it has the sweetness of a turbo delivery? If they want to do us any favor, give the supercharged V8, good for 400HP! The last report I read on that 400hp "beast" said that the automatic tranny shifted shy of the engine's power peak, and there wasn't even a posi rear on it. The best 1/4 time that Car & Driver could get out of it was a 14.1, pathetic for a car that's supposed to be competitive with the E55 and M5.<P>
