I'm going to need to pickup a motor for my VW and haul somethings from time to time, so I was considering getting the OEM hitch. Does anyone have any experience with these on their V70R/XC or AWD V70? How is the wiring?
thanks!
IPD has a hitch kit that when you add the wiring harness is cheaper than just the OEM hitch. From the picture on the IPD site it just looks like a Draw-tite hitch. You might try just finding a dealer in your area.

yeah sure, I forgot to post that. http://www.etrailer.com/fitguide.htm should get you there.
another site had it for $99. I didn't go through all the hits on the search. I just went to http://www.google.com and searched on DrawTite hitches.
I thought about calling IPD to see if their price was a typo, about $80 more for the same thing.

You the MAN... co cool to find good pricing out there. I was wondering, has anyone pulled one of those small 5X8 enclosed trailers? I am looking to get one to stow my ATV or pontoon boat, and thought the enclosed trailers are the way to go, that way I can camp in it as well. Any thoughts? Thanks for the link, that saved me loads of cash.

Re: Hitch recommendations? (Ski Brick)

I towed a 5x8 enclosed U-Haul trailer (single axle type) behind our pervious Subaru Forester and it did a great job. I hope the V70 works just as well
