Cruising at 70mph and im running about 3000rpm's this seems really high. My dads '01 mustang runs at 1800. Is this not usual for my '96 NA 850? Does this an have an overdrive?

Inlineking,<p>My 850T5 Runs around 2200, 2500 at 70 mph. If you have an auto it has four speeds. The manual says that a lock with a reduction of RPM's indicates that it is in 4th. Overdrive per se. You might want to do a trans flush and see if it will loosen up your tranny. It may not be able to shift into 4th. <p>If you have a stick? I dont know.
