Is it just me or do you have to pull and hold the signal indicator level back to keep the high beams on? Is there a way to keep them on besides having to manually pull the level back and hold it that way?

Your supposed to be able to just pull it back once and release, this should activate the high beams.

haha i was about to ask the exact question. It had been annoying me since I first got my car. I always just leave the day time running lights on and jsut leave the control on off and let it go automatically.

Re: (FrenchCamp49er)

Usually (in ANY AND ALL CARS) the light switch should be in the ON position for lights to work properly.
I agree Volvos way is quite stupid, what's the point of having a light switch if the DRL's are on they work (except for he high beams) and an owner should know that to make only the high beams function properly you should turn ON the lights? Weird.
The whole deal is wrong and stupid

Now if it had to do with mixing a bunch of chemicals together and then igniting them, I'm your man!
