Does anyone have the sheet for the hidden radio menu for 01's -04's?
I lost mine somewhere

I believe (IIRC) it's for all the radios 01 to 04

WOW!
It's been years since I fiddled with one of these.
I STRONGLY recommend that all of you (who haven't yet) use this EQ menu and adjust your radio.
It will make it sound like a new radio!
The factory settings have WAY too much bass, especially the rear speakers and the mid front adjustment.
After all the adjustments the muddled sound is gone, replaced by a nice crisp sound and this is just a base 613 with no subwoofer. Vocals are now great :thumbup:.
This takes all of 3 minutes and the change is nothing short of amazing!

Please note the "803" link above also works with a 613

The factory settings were 0 0 0 0 / 0 0 0 if I recall. Someone else had perhaps adjusted yours previously?

This EQ is the ONLY thing I miss from my 2001 XC. Volvo made a horrible decision taking it out for the model 650 and 850 head units.

The newer radios (05-07) are better radios but have so much default treble.....very 'brassy" sound
Why would they not have this EQ is a total mystery!!!
They sound very good with the optional factory subwoofer in V70s, but if you have an S60, you're sort of screwed unless you install a custom sub

If you read the hidden menu that was posted avove you would see what the factory defaults are
Some settings are 0, some are 4s etc

Ive been sitting in my car for over an hour now messing with the setting! I didnt think volvos had the hidden eq, this was the first thing I did on all my audi's and now after owning my v70 for a year it really is like a new radio.

Agreed, was more so thrilled that I could tweak EVERYTHING.

I used a Bose demo CD to tune in the sound.
