Re: HID Help (Wish2k)

Are you going with regular or bi-xenon? If youre going with the bixenons IMHO id rethink it…more trouble/expense than its worth.<p>Most of the aftermarkets ive installed/delt with were pretty simple plug and play. You plug the ignitor/ballast (some use a one piece design – which tend to be better quality even OEM but are sometimes harder to find, and some use a separate ballast and ignitor which have proprietary plugs. These are slightly lower quality, but are usually ok. Keep in mind with this design the bulb connector <not base> will likely be proprietary as well. You wont be able to just order some new rebased d2 bulbs <if you burn one out or want a different K rating> without some fab work – you ill have to get them from the same place you got your kit) into the stock harness and then into the new d2(s/r) bulb which has been rebased for your housing. On some kits youll have to add a relay or an additional power wire – but those were largely in an older generation. <br>That said, if youre trying to retro a set its quite doable, but much easier to get a set (like above) that’s designed for the vehicle. <p>-<br>CH <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/embeer.gif" BORDER="0">
