Hey everyone,
I was just wondering if this is a good place to ask about saabs (new 9-3 in specific) or is the word "saab" an unholy word in these forums?
If not, are there any saab forums that i could discuss newer models such as the latest 9-3 along with aftermarket questions etc?

Welcome!
I wouldn't say "unholy" but there is little SAAB conversation here. I personaly would welcome some SAAB insight as I have never even driven or been in one. Kind of a swedish cousin to the Volvo so it may not be too out of place here. No actual topic forums here to discuss it though, maybe the car lounge. But expect a little heat from some!

I wouldn't mind a little Saab knowledge, myself. I think we ought to welcome Saab owners. We ought to take their requests (to include Saab here at Swedespeed) as a compliment, and welcome them on in.
Don't shoot me... I don't mean this in an anti-Volvo way. I don't know how much the two auto makers have in common aside from their nationality, but everybody (that's pro-Saab) keeps claiming there's no equally-good Saab site for Saab owners and enthusiasts.
I'm not sure exactly how you'd break down the makes/models and how you'd divvy up the forums (communities & whatnot), but perhaps it's worth a try? Maybe there could be joint "community" area with news & car lounges & detailing forums, then separate makes & models areas? I don't know. Just a suggestion. The more the merrier!

or create maybe a small sectioned off "Saab owner's area" with sub categories of different models. All in one until it grows. Than we have a cummunity area, Volvo FWD/AWD are, Volvo RWD area and Saab car area. I think perhapse maybe there is no good Saab sight is because there may not be many Saab people who care to talk about the subject. If that is the the case, keep the Saab area just a few topics to keep it going until it grows. (could take time, even the Volvo forum can be considered dead by other car manufacturer sites).
Best of luck Saab people.

It's true about the Saab sites... Since my mother has a '93 900, I've tried to find info about it (technical and otherwise) because the nearest Saab repair shop is two hours away! I've never seen anything for Saabs that has the same ammount of info and level of professionalism that Swedespeed has for Volvos.

Guys, now that I have the new forum software in place, I'll probably be adding a whole Saab section of forums very shortly. I've just got some other projects I need to complete first.
