Hi everyone,
Just received my 2006 Electric Silver, Mt6, S60R about 3 weeks ago.
I am from Switzerland and this is my First Volvo.
My previous car was a 2000 SAAB 9-5 Aero, Mt5 with a Hirsch Performance 280Hp engine.
This is not my first AWD turbo car... I have owned in that order:
1. Mazda 323 AWD Turbo (150hp)
2. Toyota Celica AWD Turbo (200hp)
3. Lancia Delta HF Integrale Turbo (260hp)
4. Mitsu. Eclipse AWD Turbo (While doing University in the US) (200hp)
5. Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo II (215Hp) (Sold it about 2 years ago, was my fun car for a while, bought it 2nd hand)
While I liked the SAAB, the lack of traction of a FWD car in a place with plenty of rain and lots of snow in the winter pushed me towards a new "decent performance" AWD car, so I picked the Volvo S60R as I have had very bad luck with German cars, (they don't work for me for some reason), when I tried a S4 a bearing was shoot (could hear it well enough) and the performance at altitude was lousy, and a quick ride in a RS4 ended with check engine after 2 miles (engine was warm to start with). But the Volvo I test drove a V70R, worked fine so I ordered myself a S60R (wanted a sedan). Anyways, in both Audi's I hated the "Microsoft" Force Feedback Feel of the wheel. Felt overboosted.
So now... guess I am a Volvo S60R owner... happy about it.
Regards,
Coolknight

Welcome. I have 75,000 miles on mine, and it still puts a smile on my face when I rip up the twisty mountain roads. oclv

Welcome, I see you have gradually went up in HP over the years. I see a pattern with that myself. You will love this car more and more every day you own it. Good luck with the R. Let US know if you need anything in the future, we will be glad to help. Cheers, Rick
