I got my '09 BMW 328i sedan yesterday. Exactly 49 days from when I dropped it off in Munich.
She still looks brand new. The dealership detailed it right as it got off the truck. I must say I do love it.
The blue is a bit more beautiful than sonic (which is still awesome)...especially in the bright sunlight.
The seats are fine (got the sport seats)...very close to the R seats.
Sound system(got the logic 7) is great...comparable to the pro logic.
I do like the tighter turning radius
I haven't even had it 24 hours yet so I'm still learning the ropes. It's my first BMW after driving swedish cars since 1998.
Here's a link to a few quick pics from today. Still on the list of things to do:
1. window tint
2. rear spoiler
3. cool stickers (a la prancing moose)
4. cool blue mug (a la the R mug from a few years ago)
http://picasaweb.google.com/soledoc1/MyNewBMW
The refreshed front is really growing on me and I wish Volvo could take a hint from BMW's stock exhaust styling.

Re: (cmurphy2266)

Thanks. I agree that the lines on the hood look very nice. I was thinking about putting the european plate on the front, but after looking at the lines of the front I think I'll leave it off. Indiana doesn't require a front plate so I think I'll leave it clean.
I'll definitely still be around. Technically I still have an R even if it is a '98 V70R.

Nice choice Doc. The 09 Tails are growing on me and I too like the refreshed front. Almost made me want to get an 09, but I settled for an 08. Can't beat the handling as I'm sure you'll soon find out.

Congrats, nice looking car. However, I get tired of seeing them on every street corner here in Overland Park. I love BMW's, but would never own one here, they are the Chevy Cavalier of Johnson County, it's sickening.
Love the color though, it's no Sonic Blue though man, come on.

Re: (dectech1)

I do understand why so many people have them. And Im a MUCH bigger fan of the 4 door. Very nice car.
Is it at all smaller than the S60? I mean, forget the legroom. More asking about the width. I love the width of the S60. (Thats what she said)

Very nice - I've been considering a 135i 6spd to complement the R as "my" new car. I've read that the Juice Box is good for 80hp and 80ft lbs for about $600! (with no other mods) Thats a staggering deal.

Now that I think about it, it might be a tad less wide because I pulled into the garage and felt like I had more room with the 328 vs. the R.

Couldn't get the 18" rims but actually with all the problems I had with the rims/tires (18") on my R, I'm happy with 17". good size for all the potholes around here. I had 17" rims on my S60T5 and liked them.

I was just thinking that today on my way in to work driving through all these roundabouts in Carmel (the mayor here is a huge fan of them) that the car feels so well balanced...I can really tell after driving swedish cars for 11 years.
