I have a 2007 S40 2.4i
In June the head gasket blew (89,000 miles on the engine. All maintenance was up to date)
I R and R'd the head and got it all together properly.
The car was in limp mode so I reset the immobilizer (5 lock-unlock cycles on the key fob) now I have no warning messages at all.
The car will not start. I appear to have good fuel pressure but the car will crank briefly, cough and then stop cranking.
Intermittently, it will keep cranking even if I let go of the key. I can turn it to the start position, let go altogether, and the starter will remain engaged.
I can't get it to a shop to have the computer read, and can't afford a towing bill. Any suggestions?
