Ok so I tried to wire 4 blue neon lights to the footwell lights. I cut the normal footwell wire and tied a 6 foot wire to it (just twisted it, not quick connect). Here is where I run into a problem, the neon lights are supposed to be plugged into a cigarette lighter but how am I supposed to connect it to the wire i ran without waisting 30 dollars a piece? The neon has two wires running through it. Also I stopped by some electronics shop and the guy told me just twist the wire I ran and wire from each neon and it should work, that doesnt seem right. What do I need to do to get this done....

Pictures don't work.

If the neon has a cigarette adapter then just cut the adapter off and connect the wires to a 12 volt source.

Careful with cutting off the cig lighter adapter. It could have a transformer inside to convert the 12V to a higher voltage required to light the neon lights. Your best bet is to pick up a lighter socket from radio shack and wire it to that wire you ran.
