Hey all,

I have a 2010 s40 r-design that I have had for 3 years and absolutely LOVE.
BUT.
The headlights are effing useless. :angryfire: Now that it is getting darker earlier, I am reminded of how terrible the light output is while using the low beam. I am a complete novice when it comes to car upgrading, so I think I found some bulbs that will fit, but I am not 100% sure.

Here are the links:

high beams - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MTJSLI5/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3G7TLYY81PTV&psc=1

low beams & fog lights - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MTJPF90/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A3G7TLYY81PTV&psc=1

If these don't work, does anyone have advice on better, brighter bulbs?

TIA!!

I am staying away from LED bulbs for the time being - designed output of the lenses and actual patterns are horrifically different and gives you a false sense of security. There are photos on here that can prove it for you.

I ended up cutting out the plastic between the two prongs that plug into the headlight and fitting in some H9's into my lowbeams - output is significantly higher and it reflects well on the roadway - very much an upgrade over stock lights - for minimum modification to the stock housing.

Some projector retrofits would help you as well. E46 is the common one mentioned here, but there are one or two others.
