Re: (phuz)

Those pics remind me of the fender wells of the 04 S60 2.5t I had for a little bit.
Rub, rub, rub...
This is the first I've heard of an S80 rubbing though. I have zero rub.
Tim

you still have the 225/50-17's? those are stock tires on stock akkiris wheels, that's got to be a problem (edit: what am i saying? it's got to be ok..., why did i say that? ).
do you have wheel rubbing marks on both wheels?
i would take some black marker an cover them over then watch your driving and the state of the marks, you might be getting them on one side like the passenger side because the roads are rougher on the edge than in the middle. or there may be a few bight bumps you go over that you never noticed.
it's hard to tell which angle the rub is... but is it the inside edge? are you hitting the steering limits? i'm not sure if there is a bump stop on the front, or that it would prevent a stock tire from hitting the wheel well.

Re: HELP! What is this caused from, am I in TROUBLE? (Copeland)

Yeah looks like your steering stops might be bad. I wouldn't say your in trouble but might want to have it looked at.

yeah i would go for the steering stop explanation... tell us when you get a word from the mechanic. i can't see any problem to the wire/wheel size you have, there should be plenty of room, except at the steering limits, even then i have 8" wheels so they are worse than yours.

Re: (Copeland)

My tires will rub when I goto full turn. Are there really supposed to be stops to prevent this? Would be nice because it's quite embarassing when I am pulling U-Turns in a crowded street.
