Just swapped my 2008 XC90 V8 for a beautiful 2018 XC90 T6 Inscription this past Saturday
Cars worked fine this week-end, low pressure on tire on but they were all low and likely sat for a long time.
Moved the car in the parking this evening and got a Parking temporary unavailable.
Restarted the car to see if this clears up and ... picture below...
I stopped/started about 3-4 times.. and the last time, it wouldn't stop for a 2-3mn which felt like eternity (indoor garage with full tank) . I stopped after that ~1 hour ago.
WHAT is happening ? I believe (too many YouTube videos..) a bad battery could do that or is the electronics just fried and I got a hidden flood car in New Jersey ?

I like the signature, gives me some comfort we've seen a few things across all those models.. and is that a Portuguese water dog? looks like my whoodle

Well, it wasn't the battery and the car is mostly bricked. Doors don't lock/unlock even though windows, roof, interior lights are ok . Engine doesn't crank/dashboard stays dark.
I'll have to get it shipped to dealer . Already missing my dumb 2008 V8.

Was it purchased with a warranty? Might check under the carpets under front seats if there’s water intrusion. Common issue with these if sunroof drains get clogged due to shrinking sunroof seal.

Would that fry one of the many modules?.. on the worrying things, yes I found about 1cm of clear water in the battery compartment - went away when I removed the last screw holding the clamp. Wiring were not in water and no sign of corrosion ( not a water flood car ..)

1 month warranty / 1000 miles on drivetrain and engine - the dealer sounds like he will help- I’ll name based on how it goes.

Yikes…yeah I’d check under carpet. If sunroof drains leak in, water will go under rear cargo area when parked facing uphill, and potentially under front carpets when parked facing downhill. I’d check asap…

Volvo dealer? 4 yr / 50k expired I presume?

Wonder if you have recourse to return vehicle as not fit for sale?
