Hey guys,

For one of my next cosmetic changes to my car, I would like to paint the plastic trim around my side mirrors to match the car paint for a more fluid look. My problem is that inside portion closest to the door jamb will be very difficult to shoot with an air gun, and I can seem to find any how to's on how to remove the mirrors. Preferably, it would be nice to be able to remove just the trim piece appose to the entire mirror assembly, but it seems that might be difficult to do without breaking any clips in the process.

Any tips?

I took my mirrors off when I painted my car. I think you remove part of the handle from the door card that will reveal 3 screws, undo those then using a trim tool pop the door card off & you can undo the mirror & wiring clip & temp sensor.
