OK, I have a little over a grand to fix up my S60. I was told by the mech that did my inspection, that I have a broken shock/strut on the passenger front, so that ranks super high (tho I can barely feel it....) I also have to (probably) replace my A/C condenser.
The car sat undriven for many months after I was injured in a (different) car accident. Somehow the condenser seized during the sitting. I unplugged it for the winter, but summer is a'comin....
So, since I have to replace some suspension, I was thinking, with 90,000 miles approaching, I may benefit from all new shocks/struts.
Recommendations on suspension? Nothing too stiff. Opinions of springs.... The ones I have on there now are originals, and they seem "OK" but with new shocks and struts, do I NEED new springs? I would kinda like to drop the ass end (Seems to sit really high in the back, even for an S60)
what other small things would my 90,000 mile T5 benefit from? Obviously the oil gets a change, fuel filter is a given and of course she'll need an alignment once I replace all the shocks/struts........ anything else I shouldn't overlook? Hoses? belt? Engine Mounts? turbo stuff?
Also, has anyone ever heard of this - You can reset one of the computers by turning the key in the driver door 3 times? I was doing some research and found this (http://www.justanswer.com/questions/1d925-2001-s60-90-000-miles-regular)
Never heard of it, but my door locks do act odd now and then (Won't unlock all the time with the button)
So thanks for the input and suggestions!!!!

at 90k miles while it is down for repairs i would go ahead and change the timing belt and waterpump...
the scheduled maintenance reset procedure is a bit different than that.. it is around here somewhere
at least replace struts(bil HD is a good option) and use xc90 strut mounts or the HD IPD ones.. the stock springs should be fine unless you want to lower the car..

Hey Rez!
As for your suspension: I am currently running H and Rs springs with the Bilstein HD struts. It is admittedly stiff, though not out of control.
The Ebach/koni set up some people run is a bit softer.

On the IPD page, it doesn't show a lowering measurement.
What about spacers............? I love the LOOK, but are they worth the $$ for a look.... (and is it wrong to stagger the stance on a FWD, i.e. wider in rear? 15mm/5mm maybe?)
I'd think it would, but that's a great look.....)

I highly recommend the Koni FSD with Eibach set up. It is the most popular kit that we sell mainly because the kit give the S60 a sport ride without being to harsh like other kits on the market. I am running this set up on one of my cars (that my wife drives) and it is a great balance of comfort and improved handling.

It wasnt that complicated at all, my mech charged me an extra hour for the work. Big deal.
