If he's trying to log in to the actual VIDA prescription than unfortunately there is no help to be sought here. There should only be one username box on the vida login, you must disable the VIDA Login option by renaming WSLogin....I believe that's the file name I don't have my Macbook Pro on me ATM.

Does it matter which language I installed? I choose the US option.
I installed the patch but don't know if it worked. How can I find out if the patch installed right?

I'm running windows 7 professional with the latest version of internet explore. I'm going to download internet explore 8 and see what happens.

Right now when I click to open vida-all-in-one it comes up with blank page but when I click on the admin icon it comes up with the volvo page asking for user name and password.

the login is 1.

the popup asking for USERNAME and PASSWORD you just close to continue...

if this isnt working,
1. you forgot to install the patch
2. the server isnt ready (check that its ready in taskbar)
3. you have to use internet explorer
4. you need to downgrade internet explorer to ie9 because the new security shi.t in ie10 (simply uninstall ie10)

I think the DICE driver only works on 32 bit Windows 7.
That MIGHT have changed in 2013 I haven't tried it yet, but for sure 2012 and earlier VIDA didn't have an x64 driver for DICE.

Im having issues getting 2013a. It arrived today and man this is a pain! Got as far as the screen that says framework ok, security ok, vida not ok... I did find this patch thing copied it into my c drive (i think is right lol)
My controller does power on and shows its number if i click the vida diagnostic icon that is in my start menu. It shows supply voltage, i did led check and it said pass etc etc. Idk im confused. I dont have the icon i hear about in the bottom right task bar.

Failed Vida install on XP SP3... VIDA not ok. Sql errors.

Follow this:

Brilliant! It worked! With the above tips I successfully installed VIDA 2011A on a Windows XP SP3 machine after several failures. It turns out that all the problems I was having were caused by the Microsoft add-ons that VIDA needs to run. All the apps listed below are free downloads. Here's what I did:
- Run the Microsoft Installer Cleanup utility. Remove MSXML V6. I'm saying to run the Cleanup Utility because there is a good chance your installation is corrupt and can't be installed from the add/remove function in Contol Panel. Install MSXML V6. Don't bother installing MSXML V6 service pack 2; it's crap.
- Remove Microsoft.NET (all versions), then re-install .NET V2. (It actually says in the MS SQL 2005 Express installation instructions to do this!)
- Install Microsoft SQL Server Express 2005. If you have it already installed because VIDA tried to install it, uninstall it first. SQL consists of several pieces all of which you should uninstall prior to reinstalling. BTW, a successful VIDA installation is only going to happen if SQL 2005 Express gets installed properly. The VIDA installation program actually tries to install SQL 2005 Express *and* launch it, and then uses it to copy the database from the installation folder to your hard drive. The reason we're installing it in advance of the VIDA installation is that when VIDA tries to install its own copy of SQL 2005 Express, it screws up either because it did not prep the computer properly (as per the steps above) or the installation script is just crap.
- Now run the VIDA installation. Reboot.
- Don't forget to download the crack (available as a Torrent and elsewhere). Select "C:\" as the installation directory for the crack. Login with username 1.
What squeaksvolvo did:

Installer cleanup could not remove MSXML V6. Ran MSXML installer.

Uninstall .NET 3.5

Uninstal .NET Framework 3.0 SP1

Uninstall .NET Framework 2.0 SP1

Install .NET Framework 2.0 SP2

Uninstall Microsoft SQL Server 2005

Install Microsoft SQL Server Express 2005 (Add client components > Connectivity Components)

Reboot. Install VIDA from a copy on folder on desktop.

Wait 30 minutes. Save. Close.

I installed 2013a vida, and 2012a dice. That is what I recommend trying.

I have xp pro spk3, internet explorer 8, 3gb ram and 60gb harddrive. All that meets requirements. It passes the install then gets to the vida install and then skips the connection type screen and goes right to the window that says framework ok, security ok, vida not ok
Im wondering if i got a bad disc. Idk, its weird i found that connection type screen when i searched the drive d with disc in. But cant do anything with it. I also found the vida icon in there too clicked it got an error window that say click ok to force open so i sid and it showed vida on the botyom right task bar but also still not usable. So they are on the disv but maybe the disc is errored with its paths?

Yea latest version sp3 and what do you mean by custom? I just did what the disk said... It passed all the requirements screens and all, but it skipped the connection type screen for some reason. Then just showed framework ok, security ok, vida not ok. I made a copy of the log where the errors section but idk what any of it means

I'd have to go back through the installation.. But I think one part asks if you want vida all in one.. And then second option is custom or something.. The custom option will give you options to install a couple of different things. If you don't find it.. Once I'm home this weekend I can show you what I'm talking about.
