Don't expect that too often? What are you trying to say
HID ballasts get signal to ignite from stock wiring harness but draws actual current from battery using that harness. Connect the harness to the positive terminal at the fuse box under the hood and to one of the three ground terminals on the side of the engine bay. It comes with a schematic for hooking it up to your HID ballast/bulb (in a nutshell, it just gets connected in series between the ballast and bulb for both passenger and driver side).
BUT
I'm 99.9% sure you won't get that bulb out message to disappear.

Shaggin knows what he is talking about.... you shouldn't have doubted him
I don't know why you made your first thread if you weren't gonna follow anyone's advice

With the battery kit you're sure to get the headlamp out message. With the kit it's sensing even less current draw / resistance in the circuit. Computer will definitely think the bulbs are burnt out.

It's not really the wattage that matters as much as the pattern in which current is drawn vs time in this case. The CEM can see that the HID's are different than halogens because of the time involved in igniting and warming up the HID bulbs but it can't see that the bulbs aren't out. If somehow the system were to take action 20 seconds later than it does, the current drawn would be stabilized to around 55w which would probably get rid of the bulb out message. In any case, you'll have to live with the error message if you want the aftermarket HID's in our cars (05+ P2)

I have the same problem and John from (sharp HID) is looking into the problem. He gave me the cancelers but they are 50/50 in the daytime. They turn off after 10 seconds or so. He thought there might be something wrong with the batch of cancelers that he just received. You can always go to a volvo shop and get a flash update in your ECU to enable that warning out signal and the signal will be permanently out.

Jon asked for a picture to see if my cancelers were the wrong kind, but he said he sent the right ones. Let me know if your new sets work.

Other than that he said it doesn't exist. The oem hids found on the R and such; he sais, the hid balast has a chip in it that works with the cars cem...soo it's basically telling the cars cem that it's an oem part..and it's cool basically. Soo that's what he told me today...
