Hello all from the US.

After reluctantly cancelling an order for a BMW i4 I'm looking to get an S60 T8 with the vegan wool seats. I think I've watched just about every video on the car available at this point. The 41 miles of range should let me drive it as an electric 90% of the time. I wish I could get the polestar wheels and the sport steering wheel with the wool.

I enjoyed my test drive and I'd love to hear what real owners think of the car long term.
Coming from an older manual transmission sport sedan I think I'll enjoy the power but I'm concerned it won't be as much fun.

You should be able to find P* wheels at a reasonable price, and either flip your stock wheels, or if you live in a region with seasons use them for a set of winter tires.

You should be able to retrofit a OEM or third party sport wheel as well, but that's a bit less practical an expenditure.

Thanks, that might be worth looking into.

The wool interior is wonderful from my limited experience.

As to your choice of a PHEV -- I used to have a Chevy Volt (a brilliant car that I dearly miss) with between 40-60 miles of EV range. It was plenty of juice for most daily use. I love the range-extended solution even though it has its detractors. Our older XC60 T8 is a lovely car to drive in all modes! The T8 power is addictive.

I would skip the Polestar model as I don't think it's a fantastic value. The regular S60 is a great car. The wheels should swap out easily!

Welcome aboard! You will love the car. Don't get your hopes up too high on range:

The Volvo site claims "up to 35 miles" of electric-only range. It's rare to actually exceed that.
Perhaps the site has been updated. It definitely says "up to 41 miles" now. 35 miles would still work for me given my commute but every extra mile helps. (Volvo S60 Recharge – Rediscover the joy of driving with our road-loving sedan | Volvo Cars)

It is important because I'm hoping to get the majority of the electric car experience - clean, quiet, and less maintenance - without the impact of the bigger battery - CO2 and weight. (Although I guess I won't be giving up oil changes and gas stations all together.)
