I know everyone loves to show off their cars... With all the drama im having trying to get a single Atreus rim (sanatarium, where are you???

), ive started to get wandering eyes and like the looks of the Volution X's. I know that ive seen a red s40 with them on but dont remember who has them... Please feel free to show off your Volution X's!

Ha thanks AJ! Here ya go the first is def one of my favorites. There's also a black s40 in MI, cant remember the name but he has the chrome ones. Oh ya and in reference to gmugolf comment, unless your trying to make a race car these weigh within a couple pounds of the stock wheels.

What he was trying to say is that every Heico wheel is designed to be able to be used with a vehicle as heavy as the XC90 without having problems of bending or cracking. All Heico wheels are on the heavier side because they have to meet some very rigorous standards to be TUV certified and allowed on the autobahn. I don't know specifics, but I do know that it is very uncommon to hear of problems with Heico wheels, and if for some reason you do get a bent or cracked wheel they have a replacement program where you only pay 50% to get the new one.
Heavy, yes. But able to take more of a beating, definitely yes. Most really light weight wheels sacrifice strength are are super easy to bend, and if they are your daily drivers and you have cruddy roads than I say a few extra pounds isn't a big deal, unless you are racing everyone you meet around town. You can have a lighter set of wheels for track/autocross days if you feel the Heicos slow ya down too much. In the looks department they definitely are SWEET. I run 19" wheels that are on the heavier side and I don't notice a huge drag in performance, but I do know that everyone who talks to me about my car comments on how much they like it. If you have the money to get the Heicos, do it and you won't regret it. And if you do end up regretting it, you can send them to me and I will send you a check for the full amount (which will definitely bounce, lol).

I totally agree with everything said... Plus the heico wheels look ohhh so good. But with that said with a wheel that weighs 4 more pounds you will notice at least a 10 horsepower difference, especially off the line.

Now compare that with the fact that the heico's weigh 28 lbs and my wheels (TD prorace 2's) weigh 16 lbs, the difference is significant..... some were around 20-25 whp off the line..... so while you are cruising to 60 in 8.5 sec, Ill already be there asking you to hurry up. For me the difference between 8.5 and 5.9 is something I just can't compromise... But like I said those heico wheels are hot!

I agree performance wise, but for every day wheels the heico are nice because they can take a huge beating from crappy roads. The Team Dynamics are awesome, but I guarantee they wouldn't last through a winter here, and probably not the summer without a bend or two either. Lightweight wheels will always have a greater chance at bending. The wheels can't be compared: one set are for durability and good style, the others are for performance. My solution to anyone thinking about these wheels: buy both.

Problem solved.

Dont you think 8.5 to 5.9 is a little drastic?!

I'm sure there's a difference cause i can feel it, i just dont believe that it's as much as you think. A t5 with every bolt-on and software still would get whooped in 0-60 times by a evo10/sti for a lot less $$$$. But to each their own, looks or performance.

the only thing at can touch an Evo or Sti in the euro car market is going to have a base list price above 100 grand.... With that said I do worry about durability... I guess the solution is HRE, light and durable, too bad they cost around 6 grand.... Sigh....

Yeah, HRE is a super nice brand but they actually got banned from certain racing systems because they were bending too easily. Thing is, forged wheels can be lighter than cast, but they are also much more likely to bend, while cast are more likely to bend lips or crack. I guess it comes down to what a person is really wanting, show, go, or a nice middle ground wheel.

I Hopped My 2 Ton Truck with Light Weight Center lines Over Rail Tracks.

18 Inch in the Air @ 60 mph for 20 plus ft. didn't bend anything.

11 lb. per wheel. 65 series tires not 50's or 40's.

Still those Centerlines are Tuff .
