After reading InDy's post in the S80 forum, I decided to check out Heico Sportiv's site and this is some of what I found.

I like the 18 x 8 wheels...
Looks like they would be a breeze to clean!
The suspension set-up looks very tight as well!

Man, you think those fronts would rub just a tad under tight cornering? It certainly does look great though.
- Darell

Those silver cars look amazing. 18s are great, but the additional weight might hurt performance.
I think if I dressed mine up like the one at the top, I'd paint the sideskirts and rear valances to match (silver).
As for rubbing...maybe on curbs.

That is one bad-ass looking wagon! I love those 18-inch rims, and they do look like a snap to clean! That dual exhaust setup and front spoiler extension make the car look really mean. That thing is putting out 268 hp/280lb.ft with a 0-60 mph in under 6 seconds!
-Drew

Those Heico Volution ET38 rims are priced at 980DM($468USD)- I think that's per wheel! I've found a similiar wheel at a fraction of the cost... I wonder how good these are? Think they look similar?
Voxx MGR 18x8 at $229 each:

Heico Volution ET38 18x8 at $468 each:

Wow! They certainly LOOK very similar. You can't really tell what the true colors are like but I sure do like the steel-grey of the Heico ones.
If I was caught spending that kind of money on wheels I would be killed immediately, however. So don't view me as a threat to have the nicest wheels in town.
If these Heico guys only knew how much we were drooling over their stuff, maybe they'd look into an importer. Anybody write German well enough to say howdy to them?
- Darell

I was thinking the same thing. IPD and Coyote both have their respective companies that they import, and I've noticed in the VW aftermarket that one tuner seldom gets more than one big line for distribution.
I wonder who would though. I'm going to try to visit Heico the next time I am in Germany, and if I make it there, I'm going to definitely suggest they find a US importer.

FYI - I sent Heico an e-mail about the dual exhaust I've been drooling over. I wanted to know if they made one for the XC. I received a nice reply in a few hours from a Patrick Brenndorfer, explaining that they don't plan on making one for the XC because there is not much of a demand. Doesn't help me, but at least they are responsive to inquiries for anyone else who is interested.
Frank

The wheels on the silver V70 and the red V70 look just like Kahn RS-R's. See them here: http://www.geocities.com/towerymt/rsr.html

Check out these two sites. The first place, Edge Racing, imports Kahn wheels. That's the only place I know of to get them that's not in the UK.
http://www.edgeracing.com/
http://www.kahndesign.com/

Ouch! Double Ouch! So, we are talking around $3,000 for rims and tires. That is enough to give someone a heart attack. Considering the 17-inch option for the V70 and S60 is only $500, and those look really good.
-Drew

Yup. Most of those prices are pretty painful to read, aren't they? Nice stuff, but my T5 already left a pretty big hole in my pocket, if you know what I mean....
I sure hope iPd starts to come out with some reasonably priced stuff soon.
- Darell
