Well I know about TME and EVOLVE (I dont like Eibach products cause I've had terrible experience with them in the past) but has anyone ever tried the Heico lowering springs here? If I remember correctly they lower the car 30mm all the way around which is a pretty average drop (I think EVOLVEs is very similar but lower in the back).
Any opinions?

Re: Heico Sportiv Lowering Springs...opinions? (Tekk)

Haven't ridden on the Heico springs yet. Evolve springs definitely felt better to me than the eibach: Very firm but not quite as harsh as the Eibach.

I don't know about the Heico being eibachs, but somebody told me the evolve springs were eibach. I don't think this can be the case, as the ride is so much different. If they are the same, mine came out of two WAY different litters....

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but since we're discussing springs, how much $ for the install? This would be assuming I bought them and took them to a mechanic for the installation. The lowering part is appealing to me, but with the sport kit on my 04 R, I have enough problem with scraping the spoiler in the front as it is. I would assume that the problem would be magnified with the new springs. I have finally gotten my car over 50k miles and am ready for some minor mods. Do the aftermarket springs help the 4C act a bit more civilized? I.E. more predictable handling?
Thanks,
Ron

Yes that's almost twice the cost of the springs themselves.

I had the HEICO spring for over a year, you can see Eibach markings everywhere on the springs, so they are made by Eibach, not sure if they have the same spring rate, the springs are progressive, like the Eibach Pro, it actually ride better than the stock springs in all modes. The Springs are enclosed in a plastic sleeve so they are very quite and make no noise whatsoever.

The rear is not normally that low, I had lots of junks in the trunk and back seat on that day. The springs lower the car about 1.2" after settling.

You can still see the gap between the 18" tire and the fender.
HTH, Billy

The ride is better all around with the springs.
There are some minus:
My rear cambers are -2.1 and -2.2 (great on the track), make sure you rotate your tires every couple of thousand miles or the inside of your tire will wear out. The best I can get the rear toe is 0.21 (0.11 and 0.10 spec 0.16, 0.08 each side), I have 15mm spacer in the rear for those pictures and 5mm in front.
The stock endlinks are too long for my 1st gen Evolve sway and they rub against the rear sensors - no more SUM (bad design on Evolve's part).
Everything works great once I replaced the Evolve with IPD track-spec sways and QBM adjustable endlinks (shortest settings), my headlights no longer pointed straight down now that the sensors are working again.
With the springs, sways and endlinks, the car is on rail with minimum or no body rolls. But my solid endlink do make the side hop worst since it now affect both wheels.
Billy

If you mess up one 4C shock you're looking at a cost that will exceed the spring install in parts alone.
Don't forget about the required 4-wheel alignment after the fact.
