My passenger side headlight has multiple cracks in the glass. Does the 01 v70 share the same headlight assembly with the other models such as the xc70 and "S" series?

Re: Headlights interchangeable between different models/yrs? (snowdragon3)

Yes until the the '05 MY, the headlights are different at this point and no more wipers, spray nozzles instead.
Later,

I *think* that there are software differences between the model-years, and that doing this swap in an '01 is possible but there are some hoops that you need to jump through. (Drilling through a resistor is one of the things that you need to do...)
Try doing a search on the subject and see what comes out. Someone did this swap not too long ago and posted their results here.

The S60, V70 and XC70 share the same headlight assembly from 2001 to 2004, in 2005 they changed the design a little not sure if they still fit though. The S80 are not the same therefore don't bother.
As for Xenon it should work fine but will find out for you I'll call my cousin and will get back to you.
Hope this helps,
Yes, but you'll need a Vadis update (or some other modification to fool the system) to recognise the bi-xenon setup.
volvos60t5x did this (after having a plug-n-play HID kit installed): http://forums.swedespeed.com/zerothread?id=52713
