I have an 04 V70R. This morning my drivers headlight was more of an amber color than the bright/white color it usually is. I'm assuming this means its on its way out, but maybe there's another fix. Anyone have this problem and been able to fix it short of bulb replacement?

Likely the bulb is on it's way out.

Get your replacement bulbs at DDM, it's $15 a pair. qwkbrk has an excellent guide and comparison of the bulbs

Honestly, the bulb is the least expensive part in the whole assembly to troubleshoot I recommend replacing it simply as a precaution especially if you are currently up in the mileage on the bulbs.

Choose D2R 6000k they will be nice and white.

Btw 1080Rider, 6K would be a little bluish white, if you want the OEM Light Temperature the 4300K ones is the ones you want.
