Headlight Tint for the R

Came across this when looking for some headlight options. I'd be probably interested in the light black tint for a subtle darker look. What do you guys think? ..anybody wants to try it out first??

I've seen other members with this. 1 with the blue and another with the yellow. I THINK someone else just did the dark tint on the headlights, if I recall. I would at least go with the clear to protect the lights from rocks/debris.

Brother! i had the yellow tint on my Green S60 poop looked bad ass and it was THICK!! like yea well you know what i was about to say! LOL!!! Olny took 15 mins to install but i use a companey called "lamanex" If i do it agen i want the light blue tint cause that FU**KING PIG IN MY NIGHBORHOOD!! Goin to john boys tonight i think what you doin we got to chill its been 3 days!! I HATE COPS!!!! NWA
And if you order well then order me a set also!! you know i pay back lol

Haha not going for the yellow, just want to get something to darken up the headlights a tad. But yeah lets do GN Friday brother.

HELL YEA! lets do it! i know not yellow!! fool!! lol but yea if you do the dark and dont mind ording me the blue ill get you the funds. MAN THIS SUCKS!! no more texting till the 1 for you!!!
And Im going to be brook for your bday my brother! kinda pisses me off i want to go out or somin kool and have fun but no funds for me till the 3rd i think.

Haha yep indeed. The shift knob should be coming in either tomorrow or Saturday!

YES!!! man thats a freekin slick "knob" LOL!!! good thing we have diff years/diff colors/ and you got the sport kit cause if not wed be kinda gayboys! LOL

I've used the Lamin-X brand many times before, looks fantastic and very durable. I say give it a try with the light one, it's going to look awesome on your murdered out setup. http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

I only see option for a regular S60.. do they have the covers for the R?

Just to be clear, it's not a cover ... it's like a sticker rather. You're right, I don't see it for the R either. I would try the first ones you linked to, it's just 25$ and you'll have something original.

Getting all tech and shiiii lol. and if you RELLLY want to get tech its a FLIM! not a sticker or a cover. but y get all tech n****t & your right cant go rong for 25$$

Others have used Xpel, which is much more expensive. The Xpel looks nice and their are dealers to apply it. The downfall is that it does not 100% cover the light, it leaves the edges exposed...

With LaminX and those films usually I apply them over a headlight that has a generous coat of soapy water, just like window tints. Squeegee the water out and use a good amount of heat from a heat gun to stretch and form the corners, then rasor blade to trim the excess. I've gotten great results in the past with that... wish I had pics...

i was hoping you knew i was joking.so did i thoes lamnex are nice and they coverd the ENTIRE lamp, but!!!!!!!!! THE LAMNE-X does-not!! work with evolves bodykit. but that cauld have been cause i had an 01 with a 04 evolve kit on it LOL i was a littlebit of a ricer lol. i should still have pic on my Myspace.

Mind you, Smoke XPEL is not for the feint of heart...nighttime visibility is reduced. Quite a bit. If your R is your only car, I would not recommend this mod.

Looks good! I was looking for something lighter though so visibility would be there and I would not be harassed by the cops in the area.
