thanks, my friend took the photos. But you take multiple pictures with different exposures and then edit together.

no winglets only for the winter, roads here aren't that friendly if ya know what I mean. Im thinking about carbon fiber winglets.

I have the FRP's and they are less forgiving than the stock pieces, CF's cant be far behind. Not a winter alternative.

HDR - kinda. I would say Photoshop tweaks with a touch of HDR!!

Anyway, I like the effects. Something different and cool http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

Getting a true HDR image to work/look right is a huge pain in the a*s! I have been messing around with it a little but still haven't gotten it down.

I have read that a great tool for HDR is this:

Oh, #5 needs that bollard taken out!!

Photomatix all the way! Although people tend to go over the top with it. I like a subtle bit of hdR myself.

Agreed, plus the horizon needs to be leveled.

Nice looking car!

hdR tips:
Shoot in RAW.
Shoot with ISO 100.
Use tripod.
Bracket your shots.

Oh so right on!

:: Engage photo-lingo ::
When bracketing, be sure to hold the aperture and bracket the shutter speed. Also use mirror lockup depeding on the shutter speed.

I do the same thing here in Utah. I'm not gonna risk having my winglets torn off again.

Fun pictures. I would say you've gone way overboard, but most people do when they first try playing with that stuff. If you want a little bit of constructive criticism, before opening the shutter on the first picture the photographer should have noticed that the sailboat's mast looks completely ridiculous poking out of the car's windshield like that. Sailboats are cool, I race them professionally, but light posts, parking meters and masts like this one have to be avoided at all cost when framing a shot. In the 2nd pic, same comment about the little tree "growing" on the roof...

For the record, I use Photomatix as well for my HDR work.

To that I would add either using the countdown timer or a remote to make sure there's no camera shake from depressing the shutter button.
