Hello There. My 1985 240 DL has been sitting in underground parking for about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. I started it up, but it would not start normally. I had to turn it a few times for it to start, even had to push the pedal a bit to get it started. It turns but it doesn't seem like it wants to fire normally. I have some thoughts but I could be totally off. Might need a new starter or the alternator might be bad? Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks In Advance.

Re: Having Trouble Starting (draftycompguy)

Parts places like Kragen, or Napa, usually will do a free test on the starter and battery. You can also pick up a battery/alternator tester for around $13 at most parts places. Have a good one

Re: Having Trouble Starting (1sciroccofahrer)

there probably isnt anything wrong with your car, the fuel pump just had to pressurize the entire system.
but you might as well go to checkers/schucks/kragen and get a test if its free.
