Having trouble finding DOT4+ brake fluid in stores

Is this a dealer only deal?

Note: some dealers may be using regular DOT4 in the Rs. It's probably ok for daily/spirited driving. Might get hot if you track though.

Thoughts/comments/opinions/etc.?

Just order some ATE Super Blue or Motul 600 from your favorite online retailer. Apex Performance has a good deal, so does Zeckhausen.

I just did a brake flush not too long ago. Valvoline synthetic DOT4+ works fine.

It does, but, IIRC, the listed boiling point is a little shy of Volvo's recommendation, so someone who tracks their car should likely go for one of the other suggested fluids.

Actually, Dot 5 should not be mixed with Dot 4, or any other, as it is silicone and not compatable.

Dot 5.1 is ether based and compatible with conventional fluids. Boiling point of 518 deg. IIRC.
