I have an 04 V70R with about 90K on it, the wife had the seat heater on and it was burning her leg, so we looked and there was a burn hole in the seat. Contacted Volvo per what I read on this forum, they referred me to my local Volvo dealer to get pictures taken.

So today my wife brought it into the dealer, they took pictures and just got back with me, new foam, new heater, new bottom cover to be installed next week.

So it pays to contact them as the other thread said, seems to work. Plus now I'll be able to use my seat heater for the winter (my main concern as the leather needed to be refinished anyways).

You were lucky. My local dealer just left me out to dry on the seat cover. I had a pic of my leg and still nothing. I guess I am lucky they just decided to fix element and I am assuming the foam.

Yeah I actually contacted Volvo Customer Care through their website, then they referred me to my local dealer. So maybe try that.
