Re: Has anyone done the window in the airbox mod? (Max Wells)

Yes, I did it. However, the 2 part "plastic weld" epoxy that I used to secure the lexan to the airbox failed, and it fell out. So now I have a big hole in the top of my airbox and my car sounds like a kenworth when I get on it.
I haven't had time to re-do it yet with all the projects around the house. Hmm, maybe today..

Me too, and same problem. I moved to a clear caulk and it's held.

The stock airfilter has a lot of surface area and flows pretty well.

I used to live in a development under construction, and occasionally would take the R out to the sties, and the dust I would pick up would be ferocious.

Err, not sure what's going on under your hood.
Anyway, who cares about water tight seal? I have a supplemental CAI that sucks in all kinds of mist, so I'm not worried about that.
