I just bought a 2006 XC90 and am not too happy with the lights. A friend of mine has the factory xenon lights and even though they are not as good as my Audi xenons they are far better then the stock lights. Do any of you have a recommendation on how to go about it? Has any one of you done this upgrade successfully?
Any help appreciated!
Chris

Re: (sunshinehid)

I tried this in my 05 V70 and the computer wouldn't work with the drop in voltage between the xenon's and the halogens. End result was no headlights and a message on the computer that said there was a bulb failure.
Not sure if there is a way around this unless somebody can include a tranformer or something.

I think it has been done on the XC90, but know for sure it has been done on other Volvo models, such as the S60. I have read posts on the S60 forum, which may or may not be relevant to the XC90 but with enough money anything is possible. I would personally wait and try to get the Xenons that will be on the 2007 model XC90's, which are the "projector" type, not the current "reflector" type xenons and are much better. I have the Xenons on my 2006 XC90 and like them overall but they are not near as good as the projector type.
