I've searched the previous threads about hardwiring radar detectors, and which power sources to use. From what i read Red was constant 12V, Purple + White is switched 12V and Brown is used for ground when doing switched. I have everything connected to the purple + white (+) and brown (-) and the radar is always on no matter what. I've taken a volt meter and checked the voltages ON or OFF (the car), the voltages are the same everywhere with respect to that ground.
Am I doing something wrong?

Re: Hardwiring Radar - Can't find switched (POLSKA)

I guess no one really had an answer. I did figure it out though.
Purple/White is indeed switched but the way it works is that the second you open the car by remote or key it sends power to that cable. When you lock the car it cuts the power.
I thought it was going to be switched where you turn the key and then in acquires power.
