I have had one line break ( driver's side)which I was able to repair but it looks like a second cord is being frayed.

Has anyone ever had this problem? Are replacement cords available? A local pull apart yard has a c70 in it. Is the able to be pulled and replaced by an average Joe? Any recommendations?

Yikes! I've never even considered that...we've been blissfully top-problem-free on all four of our C70s.
I will take a look today and hope I don't jinx it.
Good luck!!!

Oh, I have had these cord problems! The cords (aka "cables") are rare. You can try to pull 'em from a junker, but be very careful and keep the hardware with each cable. You have to get into a top that has no power, and somehow hold it in place so it doesn't fall. Also know that when they are attached to the roof, they need to be tweaked by someone who really knows this car's top. If you can find new ones, go for them, because some are no longer being manufactured by Volvo.

Drive laughing!
