First time this has happened to me:
Drove around a fair bit today. About 6 trips of varying length between ~1 and ~10 miles. Came home and parked the car. Went to go back out a few hours later, started cranking it, and it just didn't seem like it wanted to turn over. I figured I might have let my foot off of the clutch too early, so I tried again. Cranked for a good few seconds (everything sounded just as it usually does, just for longer) and it finally came on. Stopped two places with it and both times it fired right up.
My initial thought was battery is on its way out. I believe it to be the original. Anything else I should think about? Fuel pump? Anything?
Thanks for any ideas!

Fuel pump on its way out would be my guess... When was the last time you did a tune up (Plugs, fuel filter, visual inspection of components? It may be time for one. Fuel pressure testing is easy if you have the gauge, fairly cheap and easy to use.

Ugh, I'm hoping it's not the fuel pump...
I haven't done a tune-up or the fuel filter yet, but they're on the list for soon-to-be-done. I haven't had the car all too long.
I'll look into those and hope that the problem never resurfaces!
Thanks.

Ya im in the same boat as you with the fuel pump,
I noticed on mine if I do an extremely short trip it wont start back up
or if I top off the tank its not happy
I'm hopping that the extended warranty will cover the fuel pump but it only covers "fuel odor"

I would urge you to change the fuel filter at a minimum, every 15,000 - 20,000 miles and would do it asap... Everything else is not as critical but, that is important, especially if it is dirty. That can be a major factor in a failed fuel system / pump, and the filter is often an overlooked component.

Alright. I've been meaning to do the fuel filter for a few weeks now. I'm going to go order one from IPD right now along with some other fun bits (like the oil filter cap wrench and perhaps some spark plugs).
Edit:
Oh bugger. I think I'll wait until Wednesday when my credit card starts its next billing cycle...
Regardless, will do the fuel filter and hope that I never see this problem again!
