Hi, my beloved 86 wagon (normally aspirated, stick shift) is getting a little tired and I recently found a nice 89 745 (Auto Trans, Turbo) with only 54k miles. However, the 89 feels heavier and does not seem to take curves with the same flat handling that my 86 does. Tires aside (which shouldn't affect body roll), does the extra weight of the AT and Turbo account for the difference in handling or is there some other specification change? Or am I just imagining the difference?
Is there a good aftermarket solution (e.g. stiffer sway bar?) that would restore my 89 to the same level of handling?
Thanks for anyone's thoughts! PJP
